1. Who We Are
This Launch Privacy Policy explains how Joli Jaunts Publishing LLC (“Joli Jaunts,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information collected at jolijaunts.com (the “Site”). The Site and our newsletter are intended for adults. Our books are for children; our email list is for the grown-ups who read with them.
2. What We Collect
2.1 Information you give us. Your email address, when you join our newsletter (the “Flight List”). That is the only personal information the Site asks for.
2.2 Information collected automatically. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on the Site. Our web host keeps standard server logs, including IP address, for security and reliability, and our newsletter provider may set a functional cookie in connection with the signup form.
3. How We Use It
3.1 To send you the Joli Jaunts newsletter and launch updates you asked for.
3.2 To respond when you contact us.
3.3 To keep the Site secure and working, and to meet our legal obligations.
4. Who We Share It With
4.1 Newsletter provider. We use Kit (kit.com) to store the Flight List and deliver our emails. Kit processes this information on our behalf.
4.2 We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
4.3 We may disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will update this policy.
5. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)
5.1 Our books are written for children. This Site, our newsletter, and our signup form are directed to adults — parents, guardians, caregivers, educators, librarians, and grown-up fans.
5.2 We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not ask for a child’s name, age, or contact information.
5.3 If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian sign up for you.
5.4 If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly. A parent or guardian who believes their child under 13 has given us personal information may email support@jolijaunts.com, and we will delete it and stop any further collection.
6. Cookies and Tracking
6.1 We do not run Google Analytics, a Meta pixel, or any advertising or cross-site tracking technology on the Site.
6.2 Because we do not use tracking cookies, the Site does not display a cookie consent banner.
6.3 If that changes, we will update this policy and add the appropriate notice and controls before turning anything on.
7. Do Not Track
7.1 Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) signal. There is no common industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals. Because we do not track visitors across third-party websites or over time, we do not currently respond differently to DNT signals.
8. How Long We Keep It
8.1 We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and then we remove it from the Flight List.
9. Security
9.1 We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Choices and Rights
10.1 Unsubscribe. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You may use it at any time.
10.2 California residents. Under the CCPA/CPRA you may request to know, delete, or correct the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of it — we do neither. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
10.3 Other states. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, for example Virginia, Colorado, and Connecticut, may have similar rights.
10.4 Making a request. Email support@jolijaunts.com with the subject line “Privacy Rights Request.”
11. Changes to This Policy
11.1 We may update this Launch Privacy Policy. We will post the new version here and change the effective date above. When the full site and store launch, a complete Privacy Policy will replace this one.
